1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LingoLevel ("the Service") at lingolevel.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LingoLevel is a free, AI-powered language proficiency assessment platform. It uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to estimate your level (A1 through C2) in a chosen language through an adaptive question-and-answer session.

3. Free to Use

The Service is provided free of charge. You are not required to create an account or make any payment to take a language assessment or view your results. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, and such changes will be communicated in advance.

4. AI-Powered Assessment — Important Limitations

Automated assessment. All questions are generated, delivered, and scored entirely by artificial intelligence (AI). No human teacher, examiner, or linguist reviews your answers or your final result.

AI can make mistakes. While we work hard to maintain accuracy, AI systems are not infallible. Scores may occasionally be affected by ambiguous questions, atypical phrasing, or limitations in the AI model's understanding of certain dialects, registers, or niche vocabulary.

Not an official certification. LingoLevel results are indicative only. They are not accredited qualifications and should not be used as a substitute for recognised language certifications (such as IELTS, DELF, TELC, or similar) for official purposes such as immigration, employment, or academic admission.

Use results as a guide. We encourage you to treat your LingoLevel result as a helpful self-assessment tool rather than a definitive measure of your language ability.

5. User Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
  • You agree to answer assessment questions honestly. Sharing questions or attempting to manipulate results undermines the accuracy of your score.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and software comprising LingoLevel — including AI-generated questions — are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Your assessment results are your own. You are free to share them via the result link we provide.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated assessments will be accurate in all cases.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LingoLevel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including reliance on any assessment result.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
